Hello all, another sunny weekend and here we are drinking coffee in the little island of Valentia in Kerry, not to be confused with the spanish Valencia although admittedly my tong kept slipping and pronouncing it like the spanish city! We are not exactly early morning risers so we did not leave the house until eleven o'clock but we only live two hours away and this is including stops for picture-taking so we still had plenty of time and made the most out of the day! When we arrived there we visited the main town of the island called Knightstown and found a bright red cafe and stopped over for a while. A fly decided to drawn himself in my coffee which I was not too happy about and then we walked at the sea front. There was some water park in the sea with lots of kids swimming. We also saw some local kind of a band dressed with traditional uniforms, playing in honour of some people there but we never got the whole story of who they were and what was the occasion. On the way back we stopped on the Skelling chocolate factory and joined in some chocolate tasting activity, yum I tell you! They had some nice flavours there, my favourite one was milk chocolate and whiskey. Also, another very interesting flavour, dark chocolate with sea salt, you must try this combination if you get across it!
